Mission Statement:

“…to be the best me God sent me here to be... In all walks of my life…including my ART.”

Who am I as an Artist ?
My style and subject matter have evolved through the years as I have been exposed to and been inspired by different mediums, cultures, artists, techniques, and travel. My hope, is that you can relate to the subject matter and enjoy my style.
Presently, I am an acrylic painter. I mix my own paints from the primary colors (red, yellow, blue) and black and white. Many of my originals are also available as archival pigment prints (giclees).

Scanned and printed with pure pigment inks and hand-finished on canvas, they are exact replicas of the originals, signed and numbered by me personally.

When did I get interested in painting?
Age 6. My great Aunt Grace lived next to the Rogers Movie Theatre in an old Brick 3 story Tenement House. I would go to the Movies with my older brother Mike on Saturdays. Afterward I would walk through the dark narrow alley to the entrance of her upstairs apartment. The apartment was sparse and meagerly decorated with worn furniture and even more worn old wooden floors that creaked. Her 2nd floor apartment was beautifully positioned over the Anna Taxi Cab Station and had a large triple double hung window with a panoramic view of the train depot and the small town of Anna. Upon my first visit I found her “painting by the numbers”. I asked her if I could paint. She let me paint a bit on her painting before I had to leave. The next Saturday I stopped by after the movie again and she had a new paint by the number kit just for me. This went on for several months. My Grandmother Mabel caught on that I enjoyed painting and she immediately connected me with an artist friend of hers named Fern Hamilton that gave private art lessons. I was age 7. I began sketching and rapidly moved to watercolor. Thus began my life long love of painting.
