How have my ART endeavors progressed in my life from youth to present day?

I continued with private art lessons until age 11. At that time someone decided I should take piano and ballet classes after school. Both continued for a couple of years until I began cheerleading. Cheerleading and band practice(I played the flute) occupied most of my after school time.
During my High School Years, I
It was during these years that I was exposed to Rudolf Nureyev (St. Louis Opera House), Sculpting, Painting(oil and Watercolor), The Muny Opera, Broadway Theatre, the humanities, Europe, and politics.continued my Art and Humanity Studies with Esther Mary Ayers.

My family was politically active in the State of Illinois. I was a delegate to Cyprus in a mock State United Nations teaching studies at one of the State Universities and have been interested in the political direction of our Great Country for as long as I can remember. I won a first place award in the 7th grade for an Essay that I wrote on “What Being a Citizen of the United States of America Means to Me”. I am mentioning this because it has been a great influence in my art and life choices. I am free to paint because I live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. I am thankful for “All” who have fought past and present to keep our country safe and free.
Another major influence in my Art is my faith. I am a Christian. I have studied extensively world religions in the Historical Critical Perspective and have traveled to many locations where world religions are practiced and have written numerous papers on the subject. All in all my studies have strengthened my faith in Christ as My Personal Savior.

I majored in Art Education at the University of Illinois and have taken art classes at IUPUI. I designed infant bedding and ran a small manufacturing company for 8 years before working in Interior Design. In conjunction with Nancy C. McNealy Designs I was a stockholder and Executive Vice President of Transcraft Corporation for 25 plus years until my family sold the company in 1997. During this period in my life my artistic endeavors were focused as time would allow on Interior Design. From 2001 to 2005 I spent most of my time focused on Religious studies and related travel. Since 2005, I have lived in Florida and honed my fine art skills with successful established artists and instructors.
